About
Award-winning singer, writer, and professional entertainer Chinua Hawk, pronounced (shin-wah), has performed for audiences across the globe, including, The United States, Taiwan, The United Arab Emirates, Guatemala, Switzerland, Great Britain, and many more.
His ability to weave Jazz, Soul, Pop, Hip-Hop, and R&B into his music has caught the attention of several music industry greats.
Talib Kweli's hip hop classic "Get By" featured Chinua's voice and allowed him to work with the song's producer Kanye West.
In his recent memoir "Vibrate Higher: A Rap Story," Talib says, "Chinua Hawk translated Kanye's high-pitched wail into a run for the ages that my fans love to try and duplicate at the shows."
One of the many highlights of Chinua's career included the time he sang a song with the legendary Celine Dion at Madison Square Gardens in New York City.
"Backing up Celine Dion at Madison Square Gardens was a dream come true. That moment opened my eyes to the reality that anything is possible. I sang with a Legend in a legendary venue that still carries the infectious energy of the great performers that paved the way for artists like myself. I will always have that beautiful memory."

As a timid kid, Chinua's singing voice allowed him to communicate with the world.
"Singing was always a healing experience for me. The environment I create at my shows promotes healing, love, and laughter. I don't want you worrying about anything when you're with me. I want you to leave feeling lighter and ready to take on whatever is coming your way with a smile on your face."

We asked Chinua if he had any advice to share, and this is what he'd like to leave with you.
"We are all capable of touching the world with our gifts. You don't need money or fame to do it. You only need to have the willingness to be light. It doesn't cost a thing to smile at someone. It doesn't cost a thing to pick up a piece of trash and dispose of it. These may seem like small things, but we exist on a planet with almost eight billion people. That's eight billion smiles. That's eight billion people helping to keep our planet safe and clean. That's eight billion people considering the greater good. So please know that none of your actions are small. You are the gift the world is waiting for today."
